The research that focused on the creation of wrestling personas motivated me to produce a way for users to generate their own characters that conveyed how they wanted to portray themselves as wrestlers. For this, I produced an interface where users can design their characters and further print their design. A 3D printed character is shared with the system so users can then use it to wear the final printed design. In addition, I also produced a range of paper-craft models of wrestlers.

This experiment uses the video input from the Webcam or camera and transforms the pixels into hundreds of icons made by wrestler’s masks.

A downloadable Tangible User Interface to explore Cultural Heritage data. The interface can be downloaded and built at home. The system uses TUIO protocol and it makes the queries using JQuery. All queries are carried out through Europeana’s API.

My work uses a diverse range of technologies such as Arduino microcontrollers and electronics. My experiments explore ways in which technology can enable ordinary object to be embedded with interactive properties.

A downloadable TUI to explore different deities from diverse cultures. The system is based on dTouch, a computer vision system for tangible interaction. By combining a natural element and a culture, will produce a deity that is projected on a papercraft holder. In addition, users can also print and download these deities and collect them.

During this project I aimed to provide archaeologists, among other Cultural Heritage professionals a pathway to quickly render how archaeological buildings could be depicted. This project involved the design and 3D print of a Roman warehouse from Portus, Italy. In addition, two 3D characters were designed to be placed in context. The final renders were presented through projection mapping and augmented reality.

These data visualisations present the diverse relationships of Mexican wrestlers in terms of championship bets. There were 3 main visualisation. A 1 meter print with diverse wrestlers, an A1 print with teams and factions. Finally a digital HTML visualisation.

Sifteo Cubes offer the opportunity to explore with a diverse range of embodied interactions. I am currently exploring its use for queryng data.

Through my research, I always look forward to provide problem solving approaches through design. In addition, I beleive a strong visual communication system can contribute to efficient engagement with an object or set of information.
